The Olive Grove was developed when I was learning with a Rebbetzin about astrology in Judaism.
The ring of trees alludes to the ring given under the Chuppah. As it has no end, so too should the life and legacy the couple create, continuing for generations to come. It should continue to grow and bare fruit as a nurtured olive grove would do. The use of olive trees represents peace. The trees surrounding the Ketubah text, is the wish that the couple's life is always surrounded by peace.
The vine leaves that make up the border are is if someone is lying on the ground looking up through the branches star gazing to the night sky.
The patterns of the leaves and branches create constellations. The deep blue sky turns into purple, representing that once couple reach purity within their relationship they will be elevated to a level of royalty. The same spiritual level that they achieved under the Chuppah on the day of their wedding.
