I created this Ketubah with the simple vision of the Chuppah. With all the build up to the wedding the true moment of marriage for the couple is when they are under their Chuppah. I have kept this Chuppah simple - the four posts and a covering to symbolise the home the couple mean to build together.
At the base of each post I have shown them to be grounded in pots with Pomegranate trees growing up and around each post. Wrapping around the posts, the trees have had enough time to grow around and up the posts, symbolising that Hashem has planned that this couple are destined to be together. The use of Pomegranate trees is to show that they will be blessed with fertility, future growth and prosperity.
The Tallit as the covering for the Chuppah symbolises that the couple will always be protected by Hashem with his blessing surrounding them and that they always strive to have Judaism be a priority in their life.
The rest of the space around the Chuppah remains white, because when the couple are standing under the Chuppah they are the closest they will ever be to Hashem. The white represents the light, power and purity of this time and Hashem. That should be the focus of the couple when standing under their Chuppah together.
