This Ketubah was created with a special couple in mind. They have a passion for Israel and the Tel Aviv beaches hold a special significance in their relationship.
Although the beach has tides that are forever changing, they are predictable and remain a constant energy to it. The energy of the water and waves crashing represent that the couple should be constantly present and a source of energy to each other. Water represents purity and with the tides bring a new, pure beginning for the couple as they begin their new life together.
The footprints represent very dear figures who have since passed, but still play a significant part in the way they live their lives. The footprints are in the foreground to represent their ever-presence.
The heart drawn in the sand is near the footprints, as if those figures had drawn it themselves - indicating that they have given their blessing to the couple.
Overlapping the carefree beach are the stones of the Western Wall, representing the spiritual guidance that influences how they build their life together. In place of the sea within the Israel map are plants, representing the fertility and prosperity that their marriage should bring.
The dove in flight again shows the couple's intention to use their energy to create peace that incapsulates their life. It is also another symbol of those who have departed watching over and guiding them.
