I created this Ketubah for very close friends, so it holds a special place in my heart. The tree in Kiddush Tree is old, wise and has withstood a lot. It stands strong, firm and tall supporting, within its cupped branches, the Ketubah text. The cupped branches echo the shape of the Kiddush cup used on Shabbat. The text overflows from the top of the branches, representing the abundance of Brachot for the couple in their life together.
The text is held in a blue ring that symbolises the wedding band and its continuous uninterrupted and smooth movement. The blue in conjunction with the ring represents water - that the couples life should be one of purity and peace. The initials are showing that the couple have made a public promise to love, keep each other and build their relationship, as the tree grows and develops. That promise is the foundation of their marriage.
