Within this Hamsa is a pomegranate tree, the pomegranate fruit represents growth and the abundance of seeds, fertility and the 613 mitzvot in Judaism. This is a strong theme in my work. Fertility is not only that for children but the potential within one, the capacity to create and develop ones self. This too is shown in the growth of trees so it's important that the pomegranates are shown to still be growing on the tree.
There are also 7 pomegranates in the branches which refers back to the Hebrew words for luck, gad & mazal equal seven and seventy seven respectively.
The trees branches are growing within the Hamsa, which is a symbol of Hashem's (G-d) protection within its (his) boundaries. The Hamsa also represents bringing happiness, luck, health, harmony and good fortune.
Within the centre of all this is the Prayer for the Home, which conveys the message that good wishes for the home be elevated and propelled with the symbols of the Pomegranate tree and Hamsa behind it.
