I actually created Growth Ring for our marriage.
The Growth Ring is suspended in the sky giving the piece a feeling of tranquility. The grass at the bottom represents that the couple should always be grounded and remember their (grass) roots.
Trees are a very strong theme and meaning within my work. For me, trees represent growth of the couple within their marriage, their goals and their Jewish life.
I have used an individual tree to show that the couple are one, and they grow and develop together. There is the presence of Hashem within and intertwined in their life and marriage. I have illustrated this by use of pomegranates, which symbolise the wish that Hashem blesses the couple with an abundance of prosperity, fertility and new, exciting developments. The larger pomegranates represent the husband, wife and Hashem.
The tree is shown in aerial view as the Ketubah text takes the place of the trunk, the foundation of the tree. The text is in place of the trunk's rings as a wish that couple has many healthy years of growth together.
As you can imagine this Ketubah has a very special place in my heart. I hope you enjoy it.
